“Healthy, Wealthy and Work-Wise” é uma iniciativa Mercer que disponibiliza a todos os decisores – Governos, Organizações e Indivíduos – pontos de vista, dados e soluções digitais para criar uma nova abordagem. A partir das contribuições de líderes da indústria, incluindo o World Economic Forum, Stanford Longevity Centre e o Milken Institute, reunimos a opinião dos especialistas da área para ajudar as pessoas a viverem adequadamente agora e assegurar a qualidade de vida do seu amanhã. Este estudo foi conduzido em 12 países diferentes, com uma amostra de 7.000 pessoas e 600 líderes do setor público e privado, e identificou nesta análise os imperativos críticos para assegurar a sustentabilidade financeira na área da saúde, medidas a tomar, soluções tecnológicas e estruturais necessárias.

É tempo de reformar a reforma

  • As pessoas pensam viver 15-20 anos na reforma, mas sem um planeamento antecipado muitos poderão sobreviver com dificuldade.
  • 2 entre 3 adultos esperam viver além dos 80 anos de idade, mas apenas 1 em cada 3 está confiante que terá dinheiro suficiente para viver confortavelmente.
  • 68% das pessoas ao redor do globo nem sequer esperam se reformar ou esperam continuar a trabalhar durante a reforma.
  • 86% afirmam que é importante continuarem a desenvolver as suas competências profissionais e pessoais.

Garantir a segurança financeira para todos, requer mudanças estruturais.

  • Existe um gap nas poupanças, no acesso aos cuidados de saúde e nas ferramentas disponíveis – e ninguém deveria ser deixado para trás.
  • Os millennials são a maior geração no mundo do trabalho e eles irão mudar de trabalho com mais impacto do que qualquer outra geração anterior.
  • As Mulheres enfrentam desigualdade na paridade salarial, progressão de carreira e no acesso a oportunidades das organizações – e estão significativamente com maiores indicadores de stress que os homens.
  • A economia “gig” e os trabalhadores por conta própria, enfrentam gaps no acesso de planos de reforma e de benefícios.

No dia 24 de Janeiro, na reunião anual do World Economic Forum em Davos, na Suíça, o CEO da Mercer Julio Portalatin e a líder global das soluções individuais de Wealth, Renée McGowan convidaram líderes de governo e de organizações privadas para explorar novas abordagens para a assegurar a segurança financeira e diminuir o gap das poupanças a longo termo.

Online financial tools are flourishing

  • 85% of adults are interested in online financial tools
  • Two-thirds are comfortable managing their savings using mobile banking, online tools or smart apps compared to only 36% being comfortable with robo-advisors.
  • People want do-it-yourself technology tools that are easy-to-use, secure and personalized that empower them to make their own decisions.
  • 79% trust their employers to deliver sound advice on planning, saving and investing.
